About ArtPoint

ArtPoint is a grassroots arts organisation based in Onekiritea /Hobsonville Point

We are a collective of artists, curators, educators, and community advocates who have built an inclusive, vibrant arts platform that nurtures creativity and connection in our rapidly growing neighbourhood.

Since our inception in 2023, ArtPoint has been led by a diverse and passionate steering group and has demonstrated strong community impact and demand through consistently successful programming.

In 2025 the informal group named ArtPoint became ArtPoint Onekiritea Charitable Trust and our original steering group became our board.

Our flagship initiatives include organising an arts trail, hosting art salons, and curating exhibitions, all of which showcase the talent and creativity within our community.

The inaugural ArtPoint event was an art trail held on 11 November 2023, featuring 34 creatives across 25 venues and attracting more than 400 visitors. Our 2024 and 2025 art trails featured over 200 artists across 42 and 36 events respectively.

In addition to our yearly art trail we have also held a series of well attended salons and workshops with the aim of networking and upskilling local creatives.

In 2026 our focus in on refurbishing The Armoury. Our vision is to turn this long-boarded, underused building into a vibrant, community-focused arts hub.
