About the Art Trail

ArtPoint’s flagship arts trail event will run from 10 – 4 on Saturday 23rd November. It is open to any artists in the neighbourhood and surrounds, and is a highly accessible way for the wider community to access local arts, and connect with artists and other creatives.

Keen to participate?

There are many ways you can participate in the art trail, for example:

  • holding an exhibition in a local venue, or in your home or garage
  • holding a live performance event
  • running a creative workshop
  • opening your studio to visitors
  • holding an art stall at the market

There is no cost to being involved in the art trail, just the expectation that you will showcase your creative work, and be present on the day to represent the work.

We welcome events in the week running up to the art trail, such as performances or exhibition openings and will endeavour to promote these alongside the art trail.

What does ArtPoint provide?

As an ArtPoint participant you get to be a part of a vibrant community event focusing on art and creativity. You will be offered opportunities to meet other local creatives, and become part of a greater network in the neighbourhood.

Your art trail event will be featured on a digital map within our website and a printed map that will be available up to 3 weeks prior to the event. We will be promoting the art trail via local networks, posters, flyers and our own e-newsletter. You are encouraged to do additional promotion yourself, to make the day more of a success.

Who/What is ArtPoint?

ArtPoint is an umbrella group run by passionate local arts professionals who are volunteering their time and expertise to facilitate arts events.

Not sure about a venue?

The ArtPoint steering group don’t organise venues however we’ve put a call out for venues and will add any available spaces here. There are no dedicated arts spaces in Hobsonville Point though, so you may need to think outside the box as to how and where you present your work.

Want to provide a venue?

Great! We’ve set up a form so that you can give us your details. We will then make these accessible to interested artists and they can get directly in touch.
