Step inside a working production pottery studio
Our September ArtPoint Salon was held on Tuesday, 9 September at The Stables Pottery, Westgate.
This was a special opportunity to step inside a working production pottery studio, experience the craft, and get a behind-the-scenes look at the space.

About Mike Cribbens
Mike has been playing with clay for more than 12 years, being a member of both Auckland Studio Potters and The Clay Centre.
Stables Pottery was established in 2022 to make small batch production runs of dailyware / functionware. In 2023 Mike started holding evening pottery classes in the Sunderland Lounge. following on-going requests from many Hobi-Pointers. These continued until he relocated the studio to Fred Taylor Drive, Westgate, where he had greater facilities for production work but also could hold more morning and evening classes.
The new facility has enabled Mike to get back into exploring new shapes and forms and playing with clay again.
