Guest Speaker: Mike Weston
Perhaps best known as half of collaborative pop-art superbrand Weston Frizzell, (with Otis Frizzell) Mike Weston creates in a variety of media, producing paintings, fine art prints, electronic music, video, graphic design, photography.
Mike maintains a broad creative career including arts management and fostering talent development.
Mike manages manages Detroit techno music label Transmat. He also contributes to and supports independent creative producers including LA dub maestro David Harrow, Paris based artist & producer Brisa Roché, high profile scientist Dr Siouxsie Wiles, and a roster of local charities including Sustainable Coastlines, IHC, John Kirwan Foundation, Cure kids, Child Cancer foundation.
At this informal gathering Mike discussed his techniques, as well as the challenges of developing and managing a balanced artistic career.
