About the Artist
My name is Michelle Ogilvie-Teahan, and I live in the local Hobsonville / Scottpoint area.
My artwork is an eclectic collection of memories, past and present, documenting locations that are special to me.
In my artworks, I pay special attention to detail to draw in the viewer. I mainly work in acrylics, oils, and resin, and produce some sculpture work. Most of my work is influenced by realism, focusing on everyday settings.
In the past, I have been involved with the Putaruru Arts Council and have been involved in community events. Artist in residence allowed me to create murals and artworks, connecting with my local community. In earlier years, I worked in a variety of art-related professions and exhibited and sold work on a commission basis, painting in many different styles such as abstract artworks, landscapes, portraiture, and illustration work to suit the client.
