Faye Norman is a British artist living in Tāmaki Makaurau since 2002. Working across photography, printmaking, and painting, she creates both individual and hybrid works. Her practice is guided by automatism, a spontaneous, subconscious mark-making process that draws intuitive connections between everyday life and abstract forms to produce calming, meditative works.

She studied and worked in photography in the UK before completing an MFA in New Zealand at the University of Tāmaki Makaurau. Faye’s work often explores themes of reflection and mindfulness. Her pieces aim to foster a contemplative space where viewers can slow down and notice subtle shifts in texture, form, and atmosphere.
