Mike Cribbens of Stables Pottery will be running a temporary pottery studio in Hobsonville Point. He will demonstrate both hand-building and wheel throwing techniques, as well as a number of glazing techniques onto bisqued items.
About Stables Pottery
Mike Cribbens is co-owner of Stables Pottery, a small-run production pottery based out of Albany. Initially a hobby potter, looking for something to do pre-retirement, 10 years on, Mike is moving towards a full-time production potter role with Stables Pottery.
Mike has been involved with the Hobi Pt community for a number of years, having previously held pop-up markets at Isitt Rd and now regularly has a stall at Catalina Bay Market. For the past 2 years Mike has also been holding regular hand-building pottery evening classes in the Sunderland Lounge and the Hobi Pt Community Centre.
