Literary Corner brings together three talented local authors.

Helen Ellis writes about families separated by geography, with two published works and the final book in the trilogy due in 2026. Her writing—supporting globally scattered families—has reached audiences worldwide, and she regularly features in The Westerly.

Lindsey Dawson shares her experience of the creative drive and determination it takes to get published. She’ll have two of her books on offer—a true-crime story Poisoning on Parker Road and her novel Scarlet & Magenta—along with plenty of encouragement for aspiring writers.

Elaine King offers a captivating collection of short stories.
What happens when the ordinary takes an unexpected turn?

In this captivating collection, every story carries a shadow – mystery hides in quiet places, a romance sparks in fleeting encounters, and endings rarely arrive as expected. From eerie getaways and uncanny encounters to intimate, tender moments, each tale draws you into a vividly drawn world that lingers long after the final page.

A book for readers who savour surprise, who love characters that feel alive, and who delight in stories that keep them guessing until the very end.
