Based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), I’m a self-taught artist with a background in the creative industry. Creativity runs in my family; my grandad Owen was also a creative and a maker, and I like to think that spirit lives on in me.
As my creative day job evolved and shifted, I found myself needing a fresh outlet for hands-on artistic expression. Lino printmaking became that release, a way to channel ideas, textures, and stories into tangible works, often accompanied by a glass of red wine to keep the inspiration flowing.
My practice centers on custom lino prints and illustration, blending traditional techniques with a fresh, contemporary perspective. I draw inspiration from the rich cultural tapestry of my city and community as well as everyday moments and nature’s textures. Each piece carries a personal story, with the unique character that lino printing naturally brings; no two prints are ever exactly the same.
When I’m not carving blocks or inking prints, you’ll find me enjoying Auckland’s vibrant restaurant scene, sharing good food and laughs with friends, or dreaming up my next creative project.
